FRANKIE
MAN, FRANK PISANI,
TODD CHARLES

COMEDIAN
- FRANKIE MAN
The man who "Variety" called America's
Funniest" Man was born Frank Schreilber. After World War
II, while appearing at the Concord Hotel, Grossingers, and other venues
in the Catskills, Frankie Schreiber got to know the regular crowd of
comedians, including Lenny Bruce and Buddy Hackett.
The latter frequently made fun of his sartorial formality, referring
to him as "the funny little man with the
tie" which soon became shortened to just "the funny
little man ." Thus he discovered his show-business name, Frankie
Man. Even while making a living as a musician, Man was practicing omedy
bits in his spare time. One night, when he was 28, at a club in Queens
called the Boulevard, the scheduled comic failed to show up and Man
stepped forward to take his place. The evening went so well, he says,
that he decided to stick with comedy.

COMEDIAN
- FRANK PISANI
Frank Pisani hasn't been himself lately. That's because he's having
so much fun being other people, like Jimmy Durante,
Liberace and George Burns. Doing impressions is nothing new for
Pisani, who began wowing his classmates when he was in elementary school.
Since then, Pisani has made a career of doing impressions.
He entertains on the corporate party circuit with his "Ultimate
One Man Show" and a Las Vegas-style review featuring Solid
Gold dancers.
Following an audition in San Francisco in 1990, Pisani was selected
to play Tony Bennett in a Rick Springfield
movie, "Hard to Hold," in which he sang "San Francisco."
Frank Pisani does about 35 voices in all, but concentrates on about
a dozen, with his favorites being Burns, Durante and Liberace. He admits
laughingly that when he is learning a new character, "Sometimes
I'll do one voice and another voice will come out." He's sure to
be a hit at any party or event.

COMEDIAN
- TODD CHARLES
From Off-Broadway to national TV, Todd Charles' stage show combines
backgrounds in stand-up and musical comedy, theatre,
circus arts, magic and music. You may find him spinning a tale
or a tune, balancing a ladder or a chair on his chin, spinning plates
on his Viking helmet, or spinning a ball on his BANJO,
WHILE PLAYING IT!
Accompanied by his own studio-produced soundtrack, Todd takes you "to
the islands" for a little Jamaican Juggling and "to the Far
East" to experience the art of the Chinese Diablo. Then, it's on
to a mystery storybook land.... "A land far, far away"....inside
of his musical Hand-Shadow Theatre! There, he performs over a dozen
Hand-Shadow Impressions on cue, while narrating an hilarious fictional
story from beside the shadow screen!
This is a show full of sharp wit, whimsical fun, and wonderful things
like: crashing cymbals, American flags, raining confetti, and Rock &
Roll! With cameos by Ed Sullivan, Steven Spielberg's
"E.T.", President Nixon, and Bart Simpson, the audience
will never know what's next! There's even a juggling rabbit and an opera
singing elephant! (State of the art digital equipment allows Todd to
control the audio cues while performing.)
Throughout the show, Todd treats the crowd to a bit of "serious
foot-stompin' banjo"! To that, he adds just the right touch
of magic and audience participation, which may include an on-stage assistant
chosen from the audience.
Todd rounds out the show with his own hearty rendition of "Dueling
Banjos", in which he duels with the audience, a burping baby, and
barn-yard animals that sing on cue and zoom around his head on a spinning
helmet, leaving the audience roaring with side splitting laughter!!!
Performing since childhood, Todd Charles has had the privilege
of working with such greats as actor, Kevin Bacon, and casino mogul/TV
producer, Merv Griffin. At age 15, Todd joined the Clyde Beatty
Cole Bros. Circus, and just 3 years later he was performing for John
Lennon, Mick Jagger, and Andy Warhol at the Electric Circus in New York
City.
Todd majored in music at the University of South Florida, while beginning
his career nationwide as a professional comedian. After graduating with
a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, he was cast in the role of Martini the
Magician in Georg Osterman's Off-Broadway show, "ON THE LAM".
While continuing on the comedy-club circuit, Todd began working on FOX
TV'S "Comedy Tonight", where he was granted the rare opportunity
to work with George Burns and Frank Zappa.
Todd has also appeared on TNN'S "THE STATLER
BROTHERS SHOW", CNBC's "BREAK A LEG", ABC'S "AMERICA'S
FUNNIEST PEOPLE", "THE JERRY LEWIS MDA TELETHON", "ED
McMAHON'S NEXT BIG STAR", as well as appearances on MTV,
VH-1, HBO, & SHOWTIME. In addition, he's been heard on radio shows
across the country, and appeared in international publications, including
THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE DAILY NEWS, MAGIC MAGAZINE,
and ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE.
From 1995 to 1996, Todd was cast by Merv Griffin as the comedy headliner
in the year long revue show, "WAHOO BABY", at Resorts Casino
& Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. And, from 1997 to 1998, Todd performed
his stage show throughout Canada on GWE'S "ILLUSIONS" TOUR,
which raised over one million dollars for the International Association
of Fire Fighters.
Currently, Todd spends much of his time touring and performing for corporate
functions, casinos, resorts, theaters, cruise ships, and festivals.
From November 2000 through January 2001, Todd was the Headlining Star
of Razzle Dazzle at the Carousel Dinner Theatre in Akron, Ohio, and
recently returned from Singapore, where he was a Headliner in the Singapore
International Comedy Festival.
